"I recently completed the LEM PHONICS Introductory Course conducted by Frances Prentice.
I found the course content excellent as it emphasised the need for children to learn to understand how sounds work together in a word, leading to greatly improved decoding skills. The LEM PHONICS method gradually allows children to build up their phonics knowledge by introducing new sounds when they are ready to move forward, thus helping to stop children falling behind. The course presentation was excellent with well organised sessions and relevant materials. Frances gave us many opportunities to discuss the content and ask questions. As a teacher with many decades of experience, I have completed a lot of Professional Development. I found this course to be one of the best, and with the growing concern in literacy skills in Australia, a course that all teachers should complete."
